Создайте в корнеовом каталоге phpMyAdmin файл config.inc.php следующего содержания:

а при запуску мускула пишет
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)
еххх.... почему его там нету....? немогу понять вроди с портов ставил и все должно норм поставится!
И еще вопрос, при входе какой логин и пас по дефаулту вводить, а то я рут пробовал, и то что в конфиге прописал тож пробовал....
